Stay At Home | Day 12

It was a very rainy day today. All day long it was on-and-off rain. I have to remind myself that occasional rain is good for the earth and that we especially need it here in California; we've had several droughts since I've lived here in the last 7 years. - Despite the rain, I still went for a walk in the park. The giant trees protected me from the downfall. It's great how nature works like that! I also took the dog. I can't get her to go out in the rain at home, but she'll whine and pull to stay at the park in a downpour. Go figure!

It was a relatively quiet day at my house. I began to work and more importantly- organize! for my humanitarian work. I am growing tired of all the posts on social media about how bored people are and how they hate life right now. There's always so much that needs to be done in one's life and instead of people taking care of that they are just complaining that they can't be out distracting themselves from doing what needs to be done. I just want to scream: Work on yourself! Work on your life! Work on your goals!, but I can't force people to be productive. I can only focus on myself and try to improve my own life.

Today in the news:

  • President Trump says he is considering locking down New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The governor of New York, Cuomo, called it a "war on states".

  • America now has over 2,000 deaths and it took only a month to tally the last 1,000.

  • The first infant died of Corona today.

  • Governor Raimondo of Rhode Island is forcing anyone who comes into the state from New York to self quarantine for 14 days.

  • The state of Florida is also forcing 14 day quarantines from those traveling from out of state and also doing random checks to make sure it is being done. Those who do not could face $1,000 fines and jail time.
