I prepared mail to send today and that's what I did. I ventured back out into the world. I realized today that since being under Stay At Home (Shelter In Place) I've left my house almost every day for one reason or another. I really did want to send off the shirts I bought for my nephew while I was in NYC. He is growing all the time! Who knows how long these will fit him?! He is in a stay at home order via his county, but the state he lives in is not really doing much. I'm starting to worry about the South in general. They have not acted very fast to prevent the spread and have allowed Spring Break and regular outings to commence. I am hoping this does not cause a bunch of deaths later down the road.
The post office was quiet. I was in and out in no time. Postal service seems slow in general. Mail that is sent within the Bay Area and even below in LA seems to only take a day to arrive now. This must mean far less business for them. The clerk there tried to sell me stamps I didn't need, which tells me they are desperate for business.
After the post office I went to Safeway to pick up a few things and I was amazed the the shelves for paper products were completely wiped out. Not even single rolls here. Most things that one would consider necessities was low or out of stock. Again, mostly what was left were the more expensive options. I wonder just how long this panic will go on in society where people feel the need to stock up on household supplies.
It was a simple day today. Tried a new workout site called Peloton. Not sure what I think of it yet. I also did yoga and I've been watching the series "Amphibia" on Disney Plus and I really enjoy that! It is nice to have more time to do things that make me feel better and not have to always scramble to find time to do what makes me happy.
